I am interested at the intersecton of Materials Science and Artificial Intelligence.
I currently work in the SDLE Research Center directed by Dr. Roger French at CWRU. Right now, I am working under Kristen Hernandez on a project in the Materials Data Science Center of Excellence, which is part of the SDLE Research Center, on a collaborative project with Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory that involves laser powder bed fusion. Specifically, I am applying machine learning and edge detection algorithms on imagery to detect and annotate pores and imperfections while printing. In the Fall of 2023, I worked in the FAIR Materials group on the FAIRification of Data within the lab under Dr. Erika Barcelos. This involved taking Fourier Transformed Infrared (FTIR) Spectroscopy measurements and developing schemas for creating data handling standards.
