Engineering Portfolio

This page showcases engineering and technical projects developed throughout my collegiate career.
Currently, I am planning and designing an L2 certification rocket. Please reach out to me with any questions or shared interests. I'd love to chat!
Technical Project Management Systems Engineering

CRT: Aurora

Chief Engineer

Directed an interdisciplinary team of over 50 engineers through the end-to-end design, manufacturing, and validation phases of a high-altitude launch vehicle and integrated payload experiment. This role involved establishing team structure, definition of requirements, and creating frameworks for technical design reviews. Technical oversight extended through student-researched avionics, live telemetry, and live strain gauge data measurement systems.

Key Outcomes: Created the most complex rocket in the history of the Case Rocket Team. Prioritized planning and passed design reviews two months ahead of any other rocket ever created by the team. Authored and served as first editor on a comprehensive 150+ page technical design report, securing the highest pre-flight score of all team submissions within the 30K COTS category.

Aerodynamic Analysis Data-Driven Design Launch Vehicle Integration

CRT: Helios

Aerostructures Lead Engineer and Integration Lead

Led the aerodynamic design, mathematical simulation, and physical fabrication of a high-altitude rocket airframe structurally optimized to handle intense supersonic flight transitions up to a target altitude of 30,000 feet on a commercial motor. Managed a complex master CAD assembly and centralized parts directory detailing more than 100 individual physical components. Responsibilities included executing hands-on composite layout operations, configuring custom mold geometries, and conditioning fine surface finishes while establishing safety documentation protocols and training incoming team members.

Key Outcome: Implemented data-driven aerostructural design choices to optimize aerodynamic design. Leveraged background in mathematics and programming to solve boundary conditions on non-conical shapes. Led integration of launch vehicle from assembly to ignition. Created assembly and arming procedural checklists and guided a crew through assembly. Second author on technical paper that earned the maximum possible design and manufacturing scores from judging.

Rocketry Composites Preparation SolidWorks Surface Preparation

CRT: Event Horizon

Engineer

Owned the manufacturing cycle and tooling management for critical structural vehicle sub-assemblies. Managed the conditioning, composite layout, and release of matching negative molds for aerodynamically complex geometries, including the nose cone and aft boattail sections. Integration engineer responsible for the final physical assembly of avionics bay. Prepared a heavy-duty, L2-sized rocket to test active airbrakes software subsystems.

Results: Executed the entire outer-body painting, body filling, and aerodynamic finishing workflow to deliver a flight-ready vehicle with professional, automotive-grade surface quality. Owned and acted as SME on non-cylindrical composite mold
